Local Cooling Experts Keeping You Comfortable

State Forty Eight Home Comfort is a family-owned HVAC contractor based in Peoria, Arizona. We install, replace, and repair air conditioning systems for homes across Peoria and the greater Phoenix area.

We know what Peoria summers do to an AC. Months of triple-digit heat push compressors to the limit. Dust and monsoon debris clog condenser coils. Attic heat strains air handlers and ducts. We plan every install around these conditions and respond fast when your cooling can't wait.

Our Peoria AC Installation Services

Central AC Replacement

When an aging central AC no longer keeps up with Peoria's summer heat, we replace the condenser and indoor coil as a properly matched system. Proper sizing helps the system cool more consistently and reduces problems like short cycling and uneven temperatures.

Complete Split System Installation

If your furnace, indoor coil, or other components are reaching the end of their service life, we can install a complete split system. We pair your new AC with a furnace installation so the furnace blower and evaporator coil match the cooling equipment for dependable airflow and system performance.

Heat Pump Installation

Our heat pump installations consider both heating and cooling requirements when sizing the system. This gives you one system designed for year-round comfort instead of selecting equipment based on cooling alone.

Ductless Mini-Split Installation

Not every part of a Peoria home is easy or practical to connect to existing ductwork. Garage conversions, casitas, additions, and hot bedrooms can benefit from dedicated zoning. Ductless mini-splits provide targeted cooling without requiring new duct runs throughout the space.

Duct Repairs and Airflow Fixes

Before installation, we assess the existing duct system and identify restrictions that could affect comfort. Our ductwork service addresses leaks, damaged sections, and other airflow issues so the new AC delivers conditioned air where it is needed.

Thermostat and Air Quality Upgrades

We install a smart thermostat and discuss filtration or other indoor air quality options that fit your system. We plan these upgrades alongside the installation so you don't need a separate project later.

Every installation comes with clear written pricing and straightforward recommendations.

What Arizona's Southwest Efficiency Rule Means for Your New AC

Arizona follows stricter federal AC rules than most states. The Department of Energy (DOE) places it in the Southwest region, which has its own minimums. Split-system ACs installed here on or after January 1, 2023, must meet them. According to the DOE, units under 45,000 BTU per hour need at least 14.3 SEER2. Larger units need at least 13.8 SEER2. Each also has a minimum EER2 that depends on its SEER2 rating.

SEER2 averages efficiency across a whole cooling season. EER2 measures efficiency at 95 degrees outdoors, which DOE calls especially important in hot, dry climates. Peoria summer afternoons often climb well above that mark, so EER2 shows how a system performs during your hottest hours.

The rating only counts when the outdoor unit and indoor coil are certified as a combination. A new condenser paired with a mismatched old coil can fall short of the number on the box. DOE also states it is illegal for a contractor to install a noncompliant unit in the Southwest.

We quote only Southwest-compliant equipment combinations. We size each system with a load calculation and commission it with airflow and refrigerant charge checks before we leave.

When AC Replacement Beats Another Repair in Peoria

In Peoria, prolonged summer heat can strain an aging unit and make recurring problems harder to ignore. Here are some signs that replacement may be worth considering:

  • Your system still runs on R-22, a refrigerant that is no longer produced.
  • The compressor or coil fails on an older unit.
  • It runs nonstop on the hottest afternoons but never reaches the set temperature.
  • Refrigerant leaks keep coming back after repairs.
  • West-facing or upstairs rooms stay hot all summer.
  • Your summer power bills climb while your habits stay the same.

The right answer isn't always a new system. If repairing the existing system makes more sense, our AC repair team will explain the issue and handle the repair.

Compare Your AC Quote Before You Commit

State Forty Eight Home Comfort lets Peoria homeowners have a competing AC installation quote reviewed and possibly receive a lower price.

Here's how the offer works:

  • Get a written AC estimate: Have another contractor provide a quote for your AC installation.
  • Submit the estimate: Send the competing quote to State Forty Eight Home Comfort within one week of receiving it.
  • We'll review the details: Our estimator looks over the proposed equipment and installation to see whether we can offer a more competitive price.
  • Save up to 20%: If your quote qualifies, we may provide an estimate up to 20% lower than the competing price.
  • Older quotes are welcome: If your estimate is more than one week old, you can still request a free AC installation estimate.
  • Know the offer limits: The lower price is not guaranteed and cannot be combined with other promotions or offers.

Our Proven Process to a Cooler Home

A new AC should meet your home's cooling load. Ductwork, electrical setup, and installation conditions affect how well the system performs. Our process covers these details and gives you a clear understanding of what we're doing at every stage.

  • Home Survey: We measure rooms, check insulation and windows, and inspect your attic and ducts.
  • Sizing and Options: We run a load calculation to determine the right capacity, and you receive written pricing for each option.
  • Permits and Scheduling: We handle required permits and schedule a single install day that works for you.
  • Removal: We protect your home, then remove and dispose of the old equipment.
  • Installation: We set the condenser and coil, connect the line set and power, and route the condensate drain.
  • Commissioning and Walkthrough: We verify airflow, refrigerant charge, and thermostat operation, then show you how it all works.

Most AC installations are completed in one day. Projects needing duct modifications or other changes to the existing setup can take longer.

Answers to Common AC Installation Questions in Peoria

How long does AC installation take in Peoria?

Most AC installations in Peoria are completed in a single day. This includes removing the old system, setting the new equipment, and commissioning it. Jobs that add ductwork or change the system type can take longer. Your written estimate spells out the timeline.

Should I repair or replace my AC in Peoria?

Repair usually makes sense for a newer system with a single failed part. Replacement makes more sense when an older unit needs a compressor, uses R-22 refrigerant, or keeps breaking down each summer. We provide both options with written pricing. Our AC repair team will never push a replacement you don't need.

What SEER2 rating should I choose for my Peoria home?

Your new split system AC must meet DOE's Southwest minimum of 14.3 SEER2 or 13.8 SEER2 for larger units. Higher SEER2 systems cost more upfront but can lower bills over Peoria's long cooling season. EER2 matters too because it shows how a system performs in extreme afternoon heat. We compare options during your estimate.

What size AC does my Peoria home need?

The right AC size comes from a load calculation, not square footage alone. It accounts for insulation, window placement, and attic conditions. An oversized AC short-cycles and leaves humidity and hot spots behind. An undersized AC runs nonstop and still falls short in July.

Can you replace my AC during a Peoria heat wave?

Yes, we install new systems all summer, including during heat waves. We offer same-day service when possible and weekend scheduling. Most replacements finish in one day, so your home is without cooling for as short a time as possible.

How much does AC installation cost in Peoria?

AC installation cost in Peoria depends on system size, efficiency level, and system type. Ductwork conditions and electrical upgrades also affect the price. We provide free written estimates with transparent pricing. GoodLeap financing and our Submit and Save Special can help lower your upfront cost.
